60 Years and Still Growing…

Our Diamond Anniversary!

We are a family owned third generation company in the Town of Greece. With a population of 100,000, our town lies northwest of the City of Rochester and south of Lake Ontario.

Our garden center has seen many changes since we were established in 1948 by Bill and Grace Van Putte. We first opened our doors as a specialty store, selling seeds, bedding plants and garden supplies to area farmers and homeowners.

We have faced many challenges over the years and have grown with the community and kept pace with the changing times. We now consist of a full service Garden Center, a Greenhouse growing division, a 15-acre Nursery and an award-winning Landscaping company.

We are proud of our accomplishments, our family and our staff.

We set our roots in the Rochester community and we look forward to the future where we see a landscape division growing in leaps and bounds, expansions of sales areas for perennials and improvements in our greenhouse growing division. We also look to our fourth generation that will likely seek out more challenges and opportunities for our business in the years to come.

• Each week during May and June Van Putte Gardens will have a weekly drawing for a $60.00 gift certificate. Fill out an entry form each time you visit the Garden Center, no purchase is necessary and anyone can enter.*
• On June 18th at our Anniversary Celebration we will be drawing names for a $100 gift certificate and four $60 gift certificates.
• During the months of April, July, August, September, October, November and December we will have a monthly drawing for one (1) $60.00 gift certificate.
